Deepening Discipleship Among Hispanics

In an effort to provide basic theology and Bible training to local Hispanic believers, Denton Baptist Association is partnering with Dallas Baptist Association through its Hispanic Baptist Seminary, now called EQUIPdallas. We recently graduated our first class of year-one students and are now embarking on our second cycle of first-year studies.

Because the material is excellent, significant effort is being invested into utilizing expanded visual and aural aids to help retention of content and to provide additional materials for each student to explore further background information. QR code scans now appear in the text to enable access to video presentations in Spanish provided by The Bible Project, DesiringGod.org and other sources. This will help reinforce and expand the printed content.

Each week’s study also includes questions to help students focus on individual reflection and application.

The first subject of this cycle, Exploring the Old Testament 1, begins Thursday, September 5, on the campus of Life Fellowship Church, 4663 E. McKinney St., in Denton. Each class will begin at 7:00 p.m. and end at 9:00 p.m.

Each of the eight subjects will last 5 consecutive weeks. The cost is $50 per subject. Two special incentives are offered to couples who wish to study. The $50 fee covers both of them, and the host church is working to provide childcare for their children.

A student can begin their studies at the beginning of any of the eight subjects and work their way through the cycle to complete the first year.

Pray for our students as they embark on this new journey!
