The Hispanic Bible Institute ended its first cycle of studies on Thursday of Easter Week with a Seder service. The Denton Baptist Associational group, which has met at El Camino Bible Fellowship in Lewisville, joined three hundred other students from the five satellite campuses around the DFW metroplex for the celebration at First Baptist Church, Forney.

Gilberto Santiago, director of the Hispanic Seminary, sponsored by Dallas Baptist Association, led the two-hour celebration.  Several Hispanic pastors helped serve the unleavened bread and juice in small groups afterward and led them in a time of prayer and reflection.

The Hispanic Bible Institute plans to initiate a second cycle of studies in the Fall. Courses will include 6-week units on Systematic Theology, Old Testament, New Testament, Bible Study Methods, Conflict Resolution, Servant Leadership, Evangelism and Discipleship, Small Group Dynamics and Spiritual Formation.  Students can enter at any point in the cycle.

The aim of the Institute is spiritual and character formation of participants as they become engaged in the ministry of their local churches.
