New Hispanic Ministries
DATE POSTED: 02/23/2017  |     |   Category: Shoulder to Shoulder

February saw the beginning of two new ministries among our Hispanic churches.

  • Life Fellowship, Denton, launched 5 new home groups. Members from the church attended the DBA Leadership Training in August 2016 which provided information for starting off-campus groups. Three of the classes meet in English and the other two are in Spanish. These groups will meet for 2 months with an emphasis on training current members on how to launch new groups through prayer and enlistment.
  • El Reino de Dios, (The Kingdom of God) Sanger, has expanded its Wednesday evening Bible study time to minister to children. Contacts made with adults studying English at an ESL class sponsored by the Sanger ISD have resulted in 15 children participating in special outreach activities at the church campus in Bolivar. Their prayer is that entire families will be drawn to Jesus through these contacts.

Also, we praise God that Bro. Francisco Mejía has now moved from Keller to Little Elm in order to lead the new church plant called El Faro (The Lighthouse) full-time.

There is much more to be done in ministering to Hispanics this year. Join us in praying for more God-called men and couples to start work where there is none among our Hispanic population.
