Starting August 8th, Spanish speakers in Denton Baptist Association will have the opportunity to study a Biblical description of the Gospel and how to live it in daily life. This is offered on-line through our Hispanic Bible Institute in partnership with EquipDallas of Dallas Baptist Association.
The course title is “Entendiendo, Viviendo y Proclamando el Eterno Evangelio”. (For those of you wanting to check your attempt to translate this title, it works out to: “Understanding, Living and Proclaiming the Eternal Gospel.”
It will be offered via Zoom every other Saturday from 10:00—11:30 am, starting August 8th and ending October 31st. The cost is $25 per person ($30 per married couple), which includes the syllabus, extra digital resources, and the link to the Zoom classroom. Those interested should register at: http://dba.net/evangelio .
I have recently come across a website that has organized a page called “Scripture Prayers for the Peoples of the World.” The page (https://www.reverbnetwork.org/spftpotw) allows you to download a free pdf version of these prayers in the following languages: English, Spanish, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Russian, Romanian and Ukrainian.
By using a list of unreached people groups such as what the Joshua Project provides (https://joshuaproject.net/), one can insert the name of a group in the blanks found in any Biblical prayer on the pdf download and systematically pray for the unreached people groups of the world throughout the year.
This is a great way to combine two resources to pray for God’s will to be accomplished among all peoples and fulfill Psalm 46:10 – “Be still and know that I am God. I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world” (NLT).
