Church Planting Workshops

The DBA’s Leadership Training Conference has become a valuable resource for leaders in churches of every size. The church I pastor sends leaders to the conference each year. This year we have a couple of church-planting-related workshops that can benefit any church, no matter its size.
First, I will lead a session titled “Are You Called?” In this workshop, we will explore what it means to be called by God and how to discern that calling. This session is ideal for anyone wrestling with a call to ministry, as well as leaders who are shepherding those navigating the journey. We will also discuss practical next steps for those seeking to answer God’s call on their lives.
Second, I will lead a session titled “How Can We Become a Sending Church?” In this workshop, we will examine how churches can intentionally raise up and send out church planters. As Southern Baptists, our conviction is that churches plant churches. Denominations or networks do not plant churches. Rather, churches plant churches. Yet many churches feel they are not equipped to participate in church planting. We will discuss practical, achievable steps to raise up and send out leaders.
