I have been praying since 2021 that God would develop a culture of church planting in Denton County. I have shared with pastors that I would love to see a farm system developed within Denton Baptist churches. We will always welcome free agents to come in and plant churches that reach unbelievers. However, the strategic prayer has been for church planters to emerge from within our churches. By God’s grace, we are
beginning to see those prayers answered.
Most of the brothers who have attended our cohort the past five years have not come from within DBA churches. However, in 2026, four of the seven are from within our churches! Did you catch those numbers? The majority of our cohort next year will be brothers from DBA churches!
For example, Michelangelo Clark is a leader at Westside Baptist Church in Lewisville. Steven Christopher is the Men’s Minister at Rockpointe Church in Flower Mound. Naveen Kaukuntla is the Minister to Indian Families at The Well Church in Argyle. Brett Clickner is the Associate Pastor at Lake Shore Baptist Church in Lake Dallas. Those churches and those pastors have developed brothers within their midst to send out and proclaim the gospel.
Momentum is building. Thank you for your faithful prayers. Please pray for our 2025 Cohort as they finish their year and graduate on December 18. Please pray for our 2026 Cohort. Pray that God would use our training to equip these brothers for the work of planting churches in Denton County. Finally, please pray that our farm system will grow
stronger each year.
