This month I’d like to introduce Jamael Grave. He is one of the brothers in this year’s Church Planter Cohort. We originally connected when he reached out to the DBA and we were able to connect him with the Texas Baptists. Jamael is married to Vanessa and they have three children: Emmanuel (9), Leah (6), and Hannah (5). Previously he served as a technology educator, had an insurance office, and served in a variety of ministry roles. Learn more about Pastor Graves by clicking HERE.

The Lord has called the Graves to plant Cultivate Church reaching The Colony and Plano. They had an impressive launch last year and have continued to spread the gospel. Their vision is “to be a church devoted to cultivating relationships through the Holy Spirit by developing leaders for kingdom advancement.” Pastor Graves says, “My dream for Cultivate is that within the next 3-5 years we become a self-sustaining church planting church. That we remain Kingdom Minded and Ministry Driven.” Learn more about Cultivate Church by clicking HERE.

Jamael brings a ton of wisdom to our cohort. Regarding the DBA cohort he says, “I am most excited about learning what I don’t know. There is so much to learn about planting, and since I have been apart, I realize there are so many pieces that I missed that are pivotal to planting.”

Cultivate Church is off to an exciting start. However, they can use your prayers and support. Jamael requests, “Pray for God to continue to add to his church, and that God shows favor on His Church as we impact North Texas.” I pray that your church will become a church planting church. Contact me if you or your Missions Team would like to explore a partnership with Cultivate Church.
