This month, I’d like to introduce Ludventz Yoyo. He is one of the eight brothers in this year’s Church Planter Cohort. I initially connected to Ludventz through the Send Network and Pastor Matthew Harding of The Well Church in Argyle. Ludventz is married to Yudarlna and is the father of Yudlentz (6) and Darynah (4). He is originally from Haiti and is planting a Haitian Creole church in Fort Worth. His father is a pastor, and Ludventz was also a pastor in Haiti before moving to Texas to attend Southwestern Seminary. Ludventz earned a BA in Pastoral Ministry from Haiti North Christian University in 2009 and an MDiv from SWBTS in 2021.

Ludventz says he is “excited about the cohort,” especially the passion he sees in all the pastors who invest in the group. After a couple of months in the cohort, he says the training has helped him “be well equipped to plant.” Ludventz is already busy planting the Valley of Grace Church. We officially welcomed the church into the DBA as a church plant on March 5 at the DBA Executive Board meeting. The plant is sponsored by the Cross Church. Ludventz says, “My dream for the church plant is to gather the Haitian community in Fort Worth to glorify God and the lost among them to find salvation in Jesus’ name.”

We are grateful for the Yoyos and excited about the start of the Valley of Grace Church. Email me (micah@dentonbaptist.org) if you want to meet Ludventz, have him speak to your missions team, or even preach at your church.
