The Harvest Is Closer Than We Think
Bryan Galloway
A local ethnic church planter began reaching Muslim families in a nearby apartment complex by simply building friendships — sharing meals, helping with needs, and listening well.  Over time, natural gospel conversations developed.  Today, several families are studying Scripture together in their own language, and new leaders are emerging from within that community.
The Bible states, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of
the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.” —Luke 10:2.
Jesus reminds us that God is already at work among the people around us. Our role is to pray, step out in obedience, and faithfully engage those He places in our path. As we do, we discover that the harvest is closer—and greater—than we often realize.
This week, ask God to open your eyes to someone nearby who needs the gospel. Take one intentional step—start a conversation, offer kindness, or simply listen. As we each do our part, together we can see lives transformed right where we live.
